Tattoo numbing cream instructions guide

Follow these instructions to get the best tattoo experience from your Numbing Cream. Proper application can help maximise the numbing effect and make your tattoo, piercing, cosmetic tattoo, laser treatment or other skin procedure more comfortable.

Important: Do not consume alcohol within 24 hours of your appointment. Avoid applying numbing cream near the eyes, nose, mouth, or other sensitive areas.

Step 1: Prepare the Skin
Wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. If you are getting a tattoo, shave the area beforehand using downward strokes to reduce the risk of skin irritation or razor rash.

Step 2: Warm the TKTX Numbing Cream
Place the unopened tube of TKTX Numbing Cream into a cup of hot water for approximately 3 minutes. This helps soften the cream and activate the ingredients before application.

Step 3: Apply the First Layer
Remove the tube from the water and apply a thin layer of cream to the skin. Massage the cream thoroughly into the pores to ensure maximum absorption.

Step 4 : Apply a Thick Layer
Apply a second layer approximately 3mm thick over the entire treatment area. Do not rub this layer in.

Step 5: Cover with Cling Wrap
Cover the area completely with over 10 layers of plastic wrap (cling wrap) to help keep your body heat under the plastic wrap. This helps activate the cream. Leave it in place for 60 minutes.

Step 6: Reapply for Maximum Strength
After 60 minutes, remove the cling wrap and massage the cream into the skin once more. Apply another thick 3mm layer of TKTX Numbing Cream, then cover the area again with fresh cling wrap for a further 90 minutes.
The total application time should be over 2 and a half hours before your procedure begins for a deep long-lasting numbing effect.

Step 7: Begin Your Procedure
Remove the cling wrap and wipe away any excess cream. Your skin should now feel numb and ready for tattooing or treatment.
Reapplying During a Tattoo Session
For longer tattoo sessions, a small amount of TKTX Numbing Cream may be applied to broken skin after the outline is completed and before shading or colouring begins.
Leave the cream on for no longer than 20 minutes and do not cover the area with cling wrap during reapplication.

How Long Does TKTX Numbing Cream Last? The numbing effect generally lasts between 2 and 6 hours after the cream has been removed. Duration may vary depending on skin type, body location, application thickness, and individual response.
